In the 2025 Markku Seppälä Lecture, Prof Wolfgang Holzgreve, an internationally recognised leader in maternal fetal medicine, explored the intricate communication that occurs between the fetus and the mother during pregnancy.

The keynote lecture examined the molecular signals and physiological interactions that underpin prenatal communication, offering new perspectives on how these processes influence pregnancy outcomes and maternal health. Professor Holzgreve also discussed the implications of these discoveries for clinical practice and future research, providing a comprehensive view of the evolving science of maternal-fetal interaction.

This recorded session offers clinicians, researchers and students a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of the dynamic biological dialogue that defines pregnancy.
