Effective communication is essential to leadership and influence in women's health, where clinicians must translate complex clinical knowledge into messages that resonate with patients, colleagues and decision-makers. Led by Dr Jeanne Conry, this module focuses on practical strategies to help OBGYNs communicate with clarity, confidence and purpose. Using the concept of “power bites,” participants learn how to distil clinical and policy-related information into concise, memorable messages that drive understanding and action.

The module emphasizes storytelling, structured messaging and evidence-based persuasion to support effective communication in clinical, organizational and advocacy settings. Through real-world examples drawn from women’s health, environmental policy, and healthcare leadership, participants explore how stories, analogies and data can work together to make messages stick. Learners also strengthen skills in preparation, rehearsal and tailoring messages to diverse audiences while maintaining authenticity and professional credibility.

By the end of the module, OBGYN leaders will gain practical tools for communicating their vision, expertise, and priorities more effectively enabling them to influence decisions, inspire teams and advance women’s health across clinical and leadership roles.
