Strong leadership is not accidental – it is intentionally developed, shared and sustained. The train the trainer (ToT) ethos module of the Leadership Empowerment Series focuses on cultivating leadership from within organisations to ensure long-term impact. Facilitated by Dr Ravi Chandran, the session highlights why enduring success relies on a self-sufficient cadre of trainers and leaders, rather than dependence on external experts or short-term solutions.

Participants will explore the principles of ToT initiatives, including selecting master trainers and trainer cohorts, understanding key trainer qualities, and conducting gap and needs analyses to tailor training locally. The module also introduces adult learning theory and facilitative teaching methods, guiding participants to create inclusive, engaging and effective learning experiences.

Ultimately, this session frames leadership as stewardship – nurturing organisations today to empower the next generation of leaders and build sustainable training traditions across societies.
